Hi all
I have a PBIX that I've managed for nearly two years. It connects to source files located on a Teams/Sharepoint site, an OData/Sharepiont list, and a CSV currently on my harddrive. I frequently get errors with the dataset connecting to the SharePoint.
Go to edit credentials, click Edit, get this one:
I can nagivate to the Sharepoint folder; I can get there via Teams or SharePoint. I can open those files no problem. But PowerBI just can't see to stay connected. This report refreshes each night and I'd say have the time it fails due to this. Computer restarts don't help (I had to restart an hour ago for an example - still won't connect).
Does anyone have any ideas? I don't have much internal IT support on this type of challenge. TY!
Quick Edit: I waited about an hour (worked on other things) and finally, the connection worked. I... don't get it. Would still like to get to the bottom of what's giong on...
I am experiencing the same thing, but the connection never comes back. Are you saying if the computer ever turns off the connection will be lost?
Can you make sure that your computer is on.
Also do you have multi factor enabled on your account? If you do this could also make the connection not work.
And finally make sure you have got the latest version of the Gateway installed?
Ah - it's just my laptop connected to SharePoint/PowerBI/etc - definitely on.
We do use PingID but I haven't experienced a coorelation to connectivity. I'm on VPN and it still says it can't find the path. And to my knowledge, I have the latest & greatest gateway...
