Hello Everyone,
I have 11 seperate organizations under the same Xero account, when using Power BI Xero service to connect to Xero account, I can only get then in seperate reports. I was wondering if there is anyway to link them all under one report to be able to de some intercompany benchmarking or consolidated analytics?
More over, How to connect data sets I got from Xero not only to each other but also to other different datasets from other sources.
Last question, Is there anyway I can use Xero service on the Desktop version instead of the online version.
Thank you in Advance.
Hi Amratya,
Power Bi would only connect to one organisation in Xero at a time. If you would like to consolidate multiple organisations, you could try Collately.co Google Sheets Add-on. It allows you to download from multiple Xero organisations at once. It has built-in Google Sheets reporting templates or you could use the data to create your custom reporting.
Alternatively, you could set up for Collately to download data automatically each day and connect a connection between Power BI to Google sheets (following this instruction: https://www.collately.co/blogs/connect-google-sheets-with-power-bi) to get data into Power BI for reporting.
Here is a demo of how Collately works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxngKw2uXI8&t
P.S: Collately allows you to download P&L with tracking categories for multiple periods too!
Hi Amratya,
My organisation specialises in FP&A solutions involving Xero and other accounting systems. Our product Clear Jelly (www.clearjelly.net) enables you to automatically integrate and consolidate one or multiple entities even from different accounting systems (e.g. also Quickbooks, Sage etc.). In addition to the reporting aspects (Power BI Integration and Excel Add-in) it also includes comprehensive budgeting and planning features.
You can trial it for free - maybe it covers what you are looking for. Of course more than happy to assist with questions.

Currently, connecting the same data source with different credentials in the same pbix file is not supported.

We can import different data sources with Power BI Desktop. However, we are currently not able to connect to Xero from Power BI Desktop. Here is the idea shared on Power BI Ideas forum. You can vote it up and add your comments there to improve Power BI on this feature.

Thank you for yuor reply. I have voted for it already.
Do you have any idea if there is any way using Power BI online to connect multiple organizations under the same Xero account in the same report?
