Hi,
My customer is moving from On-Premise to Google cloud, currently they have PBI Gateway configured on an On-premise Server. Now since they are moving everything (Data Center) to cloud, (including the Datasources, SQL & Teradata will move to Big Query), my question is can we install PBI Gateway in GCP on a VM (Compute Engine) and then connect Power BI to Google Big Query?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi. Yes you can install the Gateway in a VM. If the VM has visibility/access to the data, it will work. You should also consider that if everything is going to be hosted at Big Query, as far as I remember that data source doesn't need a Gateway. You can get data from Big Query without a Gateway.
I hope that helps,
