Can a report have two datasets that reference each other

I'm using direct Query, and because some of these are fairly large Queries I was wondering if theres a way to have the dataset for my report to be cached refreshed daily. Then have another dataset (essentially a copy) that refrences this one, so it dosen't have to wait for the queries run. This way the dashboard I'm creating can be much faster and more efficient, because it's only refrencing the "copy" of the first dataset.
