Hi
I have data coming in from a sharepoint list.
The columns in the share point list are rapidly changing (adding columns/ removing columns).
I use only some columns of the sharepoint list that do not change in my visualizations.
But, whenever one or more columns are removed, that are not even used to make the visualization in the report, the Auto refresh pops up an error saying the fields/ columns were changed in the source.
Please suggest me on how to overcome the issue.
Thanks

Do you get data from SharePoint list in Power BI Desktop? Did you import all columns including the rapidly changing columns? If yes, please remove these non-necessary columns in Query Editor, create visuals using left columns and publish to Power BI Service. In such scenario, the dataset should can be refreshed successfully.
In your original scenario, although you didn’t use those changing columns in the visuals, but they are actually in the dataset.
Best Regards,
Herbert

Thanks!
That worked. Now I don't see the pop-up with autorefresh.
I still have question, will the columns created in the future appear in the dataset?
If they appear and then we delete them, will it cause the same problem again?
Please clarify my question. I'm still learning using PowerBI and will probably test it out soon.
Regards
