App URL not showing latest app menus and pages for audience.

Hello,

 

Some users are experiencing issues where their saved app URL is not showing the latest visuals, menus pages for their assigned audience.

I am NOT un-publishing and re-publishing the app. I am simply updating it occasionally for some changes. I thought tha tthe URL in this case would not change (obviously they can open the app) but that the settings of the app will be updated.

 

As admin, I can view what everyone sees under the audience and from my end all looks OK. Its not until today during a presentation that users tell me 'Oh, I don't have that', 'Oh I can't see that' that I realise we have a problem.

 

Any ideas on what the issue is?

What you describe "should" be working.

 

Are audiences controlled with security groups? Assuming they're set correctly if so? Also check reports aren't hidden in the audience (doesn't sound like they are).

 

Occadionally I've seen this and repeated page refreshes were needed. Worth seeing if you get the same issue if you use an in private browser tab or with user logged in to another computer.

Hi, Thanks for the reply.

The users are in a company wide active directory, nothing too fancy.
Im still try to guage if its only a small number of users. As you said it should be working but there are so many other factors that could be involved. I have seen the same issue mentioned on other forums so its not just me and I know PBI service is not perfect so it might just be a bug that will get fixed at some point.
