We have installed June version of Power BI on premise server. Using system admin account on the server i have configured report server. While still logged with system admin account, on Site Settings page i have added my personal account as system administrator beside builtin\administrators.
When i open a site from local machine (logged with personal account), i can see and access site settings page on the report portal but i am not allowed to add users. I am getting "An error has occurred. You do not have permissions for this operation. Contact your administrator to obtain the necessary permissions." error.
Any idea what is wrong?

To enable a user have full access to Report Server, the local administrator should grant both system level permission and item level permission to user. In your scenario, apart from adding your personal account as a system admin under "Site Settings", you also need to assign Content Manager role to this account under "Manager Folder".
