PBI-RS Maps without internet connection

Hi,

we have a PBI-RS on prem in our company and I want to implement a map visual.

Sandly, I found out that it woudn't work without internet connection. No map is shown. 

Is there any workaround for that?

@thale I am fairly certain that all of the map visuals except *maybe* Shape Map require an Internet connection for geo-coding purposes.

And there is no workaround like "downloading the maps manually and upload them to the RS?"

@thale None that I am aware of. The map visuals make API calls back to Bing maps in order to get the correct coordinates for the items on the map.
