Login on local machine in PBI RS (for Desktop) does not work

Hi,

 

we have a PBI RS (on prem) running in the company and now i want to login on my local PC in the PBI RS (for Desktop) app. This fails. Why?

How does PBI RS authenticate logins and where should I look for failure informations about that? 

 

The error message says that the connection was terminated and i should contact an it-admin.

Hi !

 

To pin down logging issue related to Power BI Report Server Desktop App, please try following;

 

1) Make sure you are connected to the company intranet which hosts Power BI Report Server
2) Try sign in Power BI Report Server URL using your Active Directory credentials

3) Try sign in Power BI Report Server Desktop App from server machine which hosts Power BI Report Server using your Active Directory credentials

4) Try sign in Power BI Report Server Desktop App from local machine using your Active Directory credentials
