Hi,
I have task to convert url power bi report server from http to https. I have done all steps
I change the configuration https from " Report Server Configuration Manager"
like this way
also,
after that i got this " Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead "
Now, how to solve that issue and how to create certificate request ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
So this is more of a certificate issue than a Report Server one, so you might be better to engage more deeply with someone in your IT department. But from my limited understanding I think you could still use IIS Manager to generate the CSR and then just use the certificate that is generated in the Report Server Configuartion Manager. Or there are other tools like the one from Digicert that I think lets you generate a standalone CSR https://www.digicert.com/csr-creation.htm
@Anonymous , refer if this can help
Dose power bi report server work on IIS?
because I have followed this link before and I'm not sure how I do that?
please, if there steps i can flowing to solve the problem.
Power BI Report Server does not run under IIS, it self-hosts the web portal.
It looks like you have everything configured correctly from a Report Server perspective. The issue appears to be with the certificate that you've used. The warning message from Firefox says that it is a self-signed certificate. If this is a dev server it's probably OK to just click the "Accept the risk and continue" button.
If it's a production server that users will be accessing then you should either get a certificate from your IT department that is signed by an internal trusted authority or if you don't have that you should purchase an SSL certificate from one of the 3rd party providers (if you search for website SSL certificates there will be a heap of resellers to choose from)
@d_gosbell thank you for replying,
My IT department asked me for create certificate request then want from me to send that certificate to IT department. I have followed some steps for that but not working as they accept. That certificate will slove woring from browsers.
Now, my question
Does there a way to create certificate request correctly?
