oData $filter when datatype is 'Any'

Hello,

I am using power query editor to grab some data from an oData feed and I can't get the $filter functionality to work whenever the data type of a field is 'Any'.  It works fine if text/number/date.  Is there a way around this other than filtering after it lands in PQ?

Hi, @jvermette09

Power query requires a data type to execute the M query code and make query folding work.

If user filter Documents in the Power BI query editor (using the standard checkbox filter) on any property other than Description (which is annotated as non-filterable), the filter is passed through.

Thank you for your response.  So what you are saying is you have to filter the data after it loads to PQ, and I cannot get the performance improvement of applying the fitler in the oData url?
