Why a date column in bi service doesnt appears tha the data by ascending order ?

Hello , I have a date column that is sorted incrised only by the day information. Is it possible to sort the whole date by ascending order ? I mean i dont want the Novemver to be appearing exact after the April i want the days the months and the years to be sorted all over with incrising order !

If I've picked up your question correctly you will find the answer in this article "Sort one column by another column in Power BI". It uses the specifc example of date. Note the solution requires you to have a time-ordered column to sort by e.g. month number or date (unlike month name which will sort alphabetically by default).

Hello, 

The format of the column is not with month name bu month number , it was Next PRD/PUR Date = FORMAT([Next PRD/PUR Date], "dd/mm/yyyy") and i wanted to change for better orginization when shorting ascending. So i change the DAX to Next PRD/PUR Date = FORMAT([Next PRD/PUR Date], "yyyy-mm-dd"). But then whene i publish it i realise that the report exists in two workspaces so i choose the one of the two it exists .So the page in the report in the workspace i choose was fine but the other was errored , and then i publish it too to the second workspace , and the same error happened .One workspace ok the other broken .Whene i recover the last freport that was working fine , it doesnt workes the same egain .So every tile in me dashboard and every page in reports that has that information hits an error .
