We have an Excel file containing lots of event data for different machines. On the second worksheet (within the same Excel file) we are able to type in two dates which then re-calculates reliability data for all the machines. Is there a way to do this in PowerBI, say using a time slicer, which would then display the updated calculated data from the Excel file? I.e. can PowerBI be used to manipulate the source data?
Hi @gthurlow,
Would you please show us some sample data and expected results for our analysis?
Best Regards,

Hi Qiuyun,
We managed to solve our issue by using a macro in the excel file. This issue can now be closed.
Thanks,
Gregor

Hi,
We have an Excel file which is constantly being manually updated with event times and descriptions. On the other worksheet in the same file, we are able to calculate Reliability of all the machines based on two dates which are input by the user. Is there a way to get PowerBI to change these dates, say using a time slicer, which then updates the calculated values in the spreadsheet (and then updates PowerBI charts etc.)?
