Import Excel file every month from a folder and refreshing the total

Hello,

Every month, i export a csv of datas (data_january.csv). It's my dataset. I've done a lot a change in this file with the query editor. And then i created my reports. Ok for that.

But now, i'd like to import every month a new csv for the next month (data_february.csv)..., and play the queries that have done for the first csv, and update my reports ? And all that automaticlly. Is it possible in Power BI ? in Power BI Desktop ?

Thank you

Ok, i found a way by select a source as a folder.

Now, i try to understand where to play queries on the folder, and on which file !

@Nobi,

What query do you refer to? After using Folder connector in Power BI Desktop to connect to the files, you can expand all data of all months in a single table.

You can publish the Power BI Desktop report to Power BI Service, set schedule refresh for the dataset with gateway, this way, each time you add new file in the folder, all data change will get updated in Power BI report based on refresh schedule.

Regards,

Lydia
