Is there anybody that knows how to ensure UTF-8 encoding when reading parquet files into Power BI? I have trouble reading the Danish letters æ, ø and å, when importing parquet files into Power BI. This works perfectly fine when using a Synapse UTF-8 encoded database.
EDIT: Is there anybody that knows which options to set to ensure the encoding using PowerQuery? (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerquery-m/parquet-document)
Thank you in advance!

Hi @v-kelly-msft
Yes, that works. But my question is more related to reading parquet files directly into PBI, and thereby avoiding a synapse ressource.

Hi @v-kelly-msft
Thank you for your answers. However, this guide doesn't help with changing the encoding in order to keep the Danish letters, which is my problem.
I have no problem reading the actual data into PBI. However, I have trouble with encoding.
Hi @Anonymous ,
Sorry for the late reply.
Below is the reference about encoding of UTF-8:
