Hi, I was asked to fetch a list of all our usernames from Active Directory by using PBI. The problem is that it loads only displayName and distinguishedName at actual querry editor.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Figured this out by myself like 5 minutes after the post (typical).
The trick is that you can actually choose what you want to see from the record

@Anonymous Any chance you could tell me how you were able to connect to AD from Power BI? I've tried a number of things but for some reason the domain name just won't take. Power BI keeps telling me it doesn't recognize the domain I'm putting in, even though I'm pretty sure I'm using the right one (it's the default domain in O365 Admin > Setup > Domains).
Thanks,
Ben
Hi, I didn't really do anything else but chose AD as a data source and typed in our domain name.
Hi @Anonymous, thanks for the reply. I figured you might say that. Just weird because the Desktop app is telling me the "onmicrosoft.com" default domain listed as the "default" domain on O365 Admin and as the "primary" domain on AAD couldn't be found. Have submitted a support request to Microsoft and will see what comes back.
Have attached the two places where I'm seeing this domain in case you spot an obviously mistake.
Thanks again.
Ben
