Emails from Exchange Online: ConversationID missing?

Hi,

I was trying to make some analysis on mailbox that would require me to know which emails are from the same conversation. There is a lot of data available, however I cannot find this one piece of information that is really crucial for me. Is anyone aware on how can I get this email property in BI?

@criscriscristof,

When using the built-in Exchange connector in Power BI Desktop, there is no ConversationID . However, you can expand ConversationIndex and ConversationTopic columns by expanding "Attributes" to track conversation details.

If you persist to get ConversationID, you can use Graph API following the guide in this similar thread.

Hi @v-yuezhe-msft,

I know this is an old topic but I have a similar situation. I have alreadye expanded both ConversationTopic and ConversationIndex from Attributes column but do not know how to get the data from ConversationIndex. It is binary but couldn't extract using any of the available options (txt, csv, json, xml, html, excel, access, etc).

@danextian,

You can use Binary.ToText function as discussed in this thread.

Hi @v-yuezhe-msft,

Thank you for the response. I was able to convert it to text but the result is a string of alphanumeric characters.
