Add Visio visualizations to Power BI

Hi.

 

I have Visio file with Organizational chart , the file is published to SharePoint in my organization. 

I would like to create a report with this visualization. 

 

First I found this instruction:

I have downloaded vsdx file to my desktop but I don't now how to connect to this file to get data into PowerBI desktop app as mentioned in instruction above. 

 

How can I connect to that file ?

@Marcin,

Please perform the following steps.

1. Click “Get Data->Excel” in Power BI Desktop to get data from the excel file.

2. Click the ellipsis (...) button in the visualization pane in Power BI Desktop and then select Import from store from the menu, search for Visio and click Add.

3. Drag Visio custom visual to report canvas , drag ID of imported table to the ID section of the Visio custom visual.

4. Open the Visio file in Browser, then copy the URL and paste it to Visio custom visual in Power BI Desktop, and you will be prompted  to sign in SharePoint Online.

5. Drag other fields such as Target to Values section of Visio custom visual.
