Share a report to two users outside our domain?

Hope this is the right place to ask.

We have a special situation were we need to share sensitive data to 2 people outside our organisation. The should be able to access the report on a day to day basis with latest data. But only those 2 people. Is it possible?

I know I can share public, but that is definetly not the case here...

Hi @Bokazoit,

Is it a requirement to interact with the report? Or would a daily file export of the report also be sufficient?

If you need interaction my next question would be: are you comfortable with coding?

In that case maybe Power BI Embedded might be a better option for you:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embedded/embed-sample-for-customers?tabs=net-co...

That option doesn't require a license for the users accessing the report and you can create your own app with it's own access and authentication and embedded the Power BI report in there.

Hi @Bokazoit,

Power BI has sharing capabilities which can also be used for people outside your organisation/external users.

I would suggest to have a look at the below article for this setup.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-share-dashboards#share-outside-...

Only your direct recipients see the shared report or dashboard. For example, if you sent the email to Vicki@contoso.com, only Vicki sees the dashboard. No one else can see the dashboard, even if Vicki forwards them the link. Vicki must use the same email address to access it; if Vicki signs in with any other email address, Vicki won't have access to the dashboard.

But they need a pro/premium licens?

Because it is possible to share a report public without people having the need for a licens...
