wole number "rounded" in matrix view

Hi

I'm facing a problem with whole numbers with a length of 18 digit;

I see them correctly in the data viewer, but when I put them in a visual table/matrix seems to take place a sort of "rounding" on the last 2 digits;

for example

the data is                                     247270772917042732

in the view table is presented as  247270772917042720

I really don't need to present this number, but I'd like to understand  this behauviour.

Read the part under Whole number and dont forget the Java remark

I think your answer is here:

Read the part under Whole number and dont forget the Java remark

"The Power BI Desktop data model supports 64-bit integer values, but due to JavaScript limitations, the largest number Power BI visuals can safely express is 9,007,199,254,740,991 (2^53-1). If your data model has larger numbers, you can reduce their size through calculations before you add them to visuals."

this can explain the behaviour

I add this note: the limitation applies not only on PBI Desktop, but on PBI Service, too

thanks

The solution probably is converting your number to a varchar

See: Solved: Long ID number rounding - Microsoft Power BI Community

Of course, this is a solution.

The question is, why Power BI behaves so?
