is trend line truly available in a clustered column chart?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/transform-model/desktop-analytics-pane states that trend lines are available in the clustered column chart, but I'm only seeing them available in the line chart and area chart - am I missing something?

Here is a screenshot of 3 visualizations using the exact same data (top: clustered column; middle: line; bottom: area)

here is what I'm seeing in the Analytics pane for the clustered column:

as compared to the line and area:

Honestly I don't see how it would be. To the best of my knowledge, you need a Continuous x-axis for the Trend line to be an option so that's just not a thing with a clustered column chart. @Anonymous

Hi, @Anonymous

As mentioned in the document , Clustered column chart can use a trend line if there's time date.

Here is a test demo.
The trend line works  well on the Clustered column chart .

BTW,It is recommended to use ordinary date fields instead of date hierarchies

I tell you @v-easonf-msft , the documentation and discoverability needs to be better on these things. For example, that Concatenate Labels only works with Date/Date Time in the axis, that Trend analytics only works with Date/Date time in the axis, etc. It's really confusing quite honestly when things are said to "work" but they really only work under extemely specific circumstances. I think that the concatenate labels is one of the worst examples of this. Somewhere it should be stated that it only works with a date hierarchy.
