how setup the same period for previos period according the current period

HI Team

I would like show a comparission between two years, but the current year is ultil Jul-23 but about the last year I have the complete year (Jan-22 to Dec-22), so when I try to see the comparission is not accurate because 2022 has 12 month and 2023 only 6, if you have any idea I appreacite it.

Many thanks PBI Community 🙂

Hi @Karenh,

Based on your description, I created simple samples and filtered the existing data by creating virtual schedules and slicers and you can check the results as follows:

Yearly Sales 2023 =
SUM(SalesTable[SalesAmount])

Yearly Sales 2022 =
SUMX(
FILTER(
SalesTable,
YEAR(SalesTable[Date]) = Year(Today())-1),
SalesTable[SalesAmount]
)

Annualized Sales 2023 = [Yearly Sales 2023] / 6 * 12

Comparison Sales = [Yearly Sales 2022] - [Annualized Sales 2023]
