direct query to import

hi guys,

 

Ihave like 86 millions rows in my fact  along with few dimensions and i want to chage it from direct query to import i tried doing that but getting an error,

any idea how to approch this situations.

How are you trying to change it? In Data source settings, once you have a data source in Direct Query mode, I believe the Import option is greyed out. So, that question as well as what error you are getting.

this is how m changing and after loading some of the 33 millions rows am getting error like data sourse connection closed( am trying once agian if get the error again i will take a snap shot)

You may be running into a data model size limitation. What happens if you just create a brand new Desktop file and connect to the data source and do an import (could even copy over your query using Advanced Editor)

You'd better check if the error was caused by the size limitation according to @Greg_Deckler posted. Please feel free to ask if you have other issue.
