Hi guys,
I have a measure called Total Sales and table function TOPN as below with a calculated column as totSales,
Measure:
Total Sales = SUMX( Sales, Sales[Quantity] * RELATED( Products[Current Price] ) )
Calculated column:
totSales = [Total Sales]
Table function:
Top5ProductSold = TOPN(5,Products, Products[totSales],DESC)
So calculated column totSales is set to be equal to Total Sales measure BUT when put Measure and CalculatedColumn side by side in a report in front of list of Products Name from Products table, there are minor differences in some total sales amount of some products (enclosed snip).
any idea what is happening?
Hi,
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Why are you referring to a measure in a calculated column formula?
Hi @Ashish_Mathur ,
I'm new to Power BI and trying things may not be correct.
In this case, a comparison of calculated column and measure results is confusing me. I noticed the difference in result without trying to build or do anything purposefully.
You may have a point asking, "referring to a measure in a calculated column", is this where the anomaly is happening? if yes, could you elaborate further please?
