Waterfall chart , Starting Coloumn

Hi Everybody,

 

Can somebody help me why my starting point is same color as increases ?  

I just want to have simple waterfall chart ;  Budget  and Variances (+/-)  then Actual.

But my starting point which is my budget has same color as variances i want it turquise as well.

Additionaly can i change the name of the Total (last coloumn) ? I want to rename it as Actual YTD.

Hi @Serkansson,

 

A waterfall chart shows a running total as values are added or subtracted. The columns are color coded. The initial and the final value columns often start on the horizontal axis, while the intermediate values are floating columns. Reference: Waterfall charts in Power BI (Tutorial)

 

A waterfall chart is used to show Variances for each category and the sum of all previous Variances bars. The starting column shows the value for the first category, as it is positive, it is considered as Increase. In short, waterfall chart might not meet your requirement that show Budget  and Variances (+/-)  then Actual.

 

Besides, the legend items Increase, Decrease and Total are by design, it is not allowed to rename.
