Visual for Microbiology Data

Hello,

I am trying to figure out two things.

1.  How to query my data to show a complete epidemiology tree for our yeast transfers.

2.  How to visually show this in Power BI.

Data example looks like this:

Yeast transfers to Tank F01.

    Tank F01 transfers to B01 and B02

Tank F01 yeast is transfered back to Yeast Tank and used again.

Yeast tank can be transferred to multiple F tanks and then F tanks can go to one or more B tanks.

F tanks can then be harvested to put more yeast back into yeast tanks and so on and so on.

What I'd like to be able to do is select a tank at any point and visually display all tanks upstream and downstream from the selected tank.

Hi @cbruhn42 ,

Based on your description, I think flowcharting is the best option for your needs.
Power BI itself doesn't have a flowchart option, but in custom visual I've helped you find a few visual objects that might meet your needs:
