Hello,
I am needing to implement row level security that pulls an email/username from a sql server table column. The column can hold multiple usernames.
What I need is a DAX expression that looks at the column and finds the currently logged in user to display the table rows in which they are listed in the username column. I am not sure if the FIND or SEARCH functions would work, I have not been able to find anything online that directly pertains to this issue. The standard "[ColumnName] = Username()" expression does not work as it can't analyze the rows with multiple managers only those with a single manager.
User story-
We have a sql table that stores items for approval (this solution is just showing status, no approval workflow). Each row in the table is labeled with an Office location (city). Each office has one or more managers and each row can have multiple offices.
User Actions-
1. Manager logs into PowerBI
2. Manager sees all rows they are listed on
Hi @nhintl19
You may have a look at below articles about Row-level security to check if they could help you.

Hello @v-cherch-msft
While the first link does have some helpful information it would require some changes to our database. I would like to know if it is possible to implement RLS in a method that would function with my current setup first. If it is not possible to implement as I have described I will look into the first link further.
Thank you,

Hi!
Have you ever found a solution for this one? I also have the same scenario, multiple emails in one column and they need to access the specific row they are listed on.
The current solution I have is to edit the data itself in Power Query to split these email addresses to different columns.
Appreciate if you could share a solution you found, if any.
Thanks!
