Hello,
It looks like Power Bi is very powerful tool but when it comes to simple things its less intuitive how to do it...
I am unable to do build a Power BI report that has a date slicer that shows my portfolio positions at a given date (Slicer Date) and plot in a line graph the historical market value (Sum of marketvalue group by date) of my portfolio over a time period (Date selected - 30 days) to (Date selected).
Here is a simplified version of the dataset that I use:
Date | Ticker | Stock Price | Quantity | Market Value |
2020-03-15 | MSFT | 140 | 100 | 14000 |
2020-03-15 | AAPL | 230 | 100 | 23000 |
2020-03-14 | MSFT | 130 | 100 | 13000 |
2020-03-14 | AAPL | 222 | 100 | 22200 |
2020-03-13 | MSFT | 150 | 100 | 15000 |
2020-03-13 | AAPL | 275 | 100 | 27500 |
Essentially, I want a Power BI report with a Date Slicer, a Table and a Line Graph.
Does anyone can help me with this?
Many thanks,
Luc

You can use a relative date slicer
