Unichar in color on axis

Hello,

I want to create a column chart, but instead of a regular labels on the axis, I want to add icons in different shapes and colors.
Accually it may not accually be the axis - I need icons between regular axis and columns.
Sth like this:

I created a column with unichars

and placed it on the axis.

I used coloured unichars 128994 and 128999 and grey triangle.
I would like to have the triangle in blue, so I coloured the axis, but then both lines become blue - and I want the text line to be like it was, in grey.

Do you have any idea how to achieve the goal?
To have one regular axis and the second line with coloured icons?

Any idea?

Hi @AnetaK ,

I suggest you to create another column chart and group two column charts as one.

Value 0 = 0

New Column Chart:

Remove [Category] in first chart.

Order the second chart lower than first chart in Selection Pane and Group two visuals.

Make sure you have set the color of X asix of first visual as Blue.

Result is as below.

Thank you for your time.
Unfortunatelly we have many visuals and bookmarks and the report is quite heavy right now so I don't want to dupilcate (almost all) visuals that we have.

Then I don't know of a way to do it, sorry.

Ok, thank you for your time 🙂

Well, it's clunky but it seems to work.  I made 3 measures, one for each icon.

A = "▲"
B = UNICHAR(128999)
C = UNICHAR(128994)

Then I can put those in the new Card visual and format it so there is no background or labels, then switch the color for just the A card text to blue.

I put it over the top of the icons that are already on the chart axis to "replace" them.  I made the text label red so the difference would show up better.  Yours would be grey.

Here you can see the card visual moved out of position:

I have attached my sample file for you to look at.

I forgot to tell, it has to be dynamic 😉

For example this chart can be sliced to show only A and B - then the icons shoud move with the axis labels.
