Hi community,
I'm not looking for a solution just understanding here. I was asked to provide qtr on qtr change in my report.
My source data does not have any data pre 2021, so things measured are for this year only, and going forward of course as time goes by.
I used new quick measure to get this using PowerBI feature:
IF(
ISFILTERED('DateDim'[Date]),
ERROR("Time intelligence quick measures can only be grouped or filtered by the Power BI-provided date hierarchy or primary date column."),
VAR __PREV_QUARTER =
CALCULATE(
[Weighted Survey Score],
DATEADD('DateDim'[Date].[Date], -1, QUARTER)
)
RETURN
DIVIDE([Weighted Survey Score] - __PREV_QUARTER, __PREV_QUARTER)
)
My visual then for QTR1 of this year gives me very high percentage, why is that?
I'd of thought that Q1 would not be as high as there is no previous qtr? There is no data for Q4 of 2020.

@kasiaw29 , that is strange.
But can check after removing .date and making sure date table is marked as a date table
like
DATEADD('DateDim'[Date], -1, QUARTER)
Can you share both current qtr and last qtr values in a table visual , along with change %
