Hello Datanauts!
Been looking into the thread for a solution but couldn't find one.
I need to sort the column of a certain matrix (Category 2). But the problem is it only sorts alphabetically (wherein I need "CY18 Budget" to come first, not "AMERICAS") . I did try to include a Index as the old matrix allow multiple sorting but the new BI set up can't seem to have that kind of feature ( I may be wrong and just don't know how).
I did create an "index" an place is as second level hierarchy hoping that I can use it as a sorting method but didn't work as the "index" doesnt show on the list. But rather only shows when I click the next hierarchy.

Hi @FuzzyYabs
You may try to add an index column as requested. Then use Sort by Column as below picture.

Hello @Anonymous,
Did this. However, that would mean I would be showing the index as first column's values. The idea is that I should be able to sort the matrix using the index but still showing the "Category2".
By the way, on your example, the index was a data. The index I created is a measure. Do you think this affects that?
Hi @FuzzyYabs
Yes, It's better to use index column instead of measure if you want to use 'sort by column'. You may add index column in Query Editor or create it with Dax.

Cherie
By "Budget", what do you mean? Value ($)? or ?
Oh No. budget = CY18 BUDGET. It's a value under "category2". Apologies for the jargon.
