Sorting or grouping in chord diagram

Hi all,

I am trying to figure out how to manually sort the data shown in the Chord diagram. An alternative option would be to show the data according to pre-defined groups.

Default sorting in the Chord diagram is according to values in descending order counter-clockwise. Highest values showing on top left.

I tried sorting according to this post: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Is-there-any-way-of-sortting-the-items-of-a-CHORD-graph/m-p..., but nothing happened.

I also tried creating a new table with IDs that I connected to the original table and sorted it according to IDs (as suggested here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Custom-Sorting-in-PowerBI/td-p/126534) but the sorting is not changing.

Another option would be to show the data according to groups. So first, the values from one group would be shown (in descending order), following by values from another group and so on. Names from groups do not have to show, just the order is important.

I would appreciate any suggestions.

Typically to change sort, we create a sort column and mark it as sort column of the original column

I've tried this already with the ID sorting mentioned earlier.

Here is the sorted data and the visualization:
