Hello, is it possible to systematically schedule an export of the summarized data in a visual? My goal is to compare past summarized data with current data and detect any changes on a quarterly basis.
Dummy Data:
(Date 1/1/2021) (Data model in dashboard)
Product | Price (dollars) |
Soap | 1 |
Cheese | 2 |
Water Bottle | 10 |
(Date 3/31/2021) (New data model in dashboard showing data changes)
Product | Price | Price Change Indicator |
Soap | 2 | 1 |
Cheese | 3 | 1 |
Water Bottle | 10 | 0 |
If it's not possible to schedule these exports, is there another workaround to essentially take a "snapshot" of the summarized data in a visual at a specific point in time? Thank you.

@matsahiro Well in that case I would say, schedule a job whatever time period you want, and take a snapshot, and store data in a table, and then use this snapshot table in Power BI for comparison. I don't think it is worth the effort to export data out of Power BI and then consume it back for comparison. Go back to your database and do manage this snapshot in the database.

@matsahiro What is your data source? The reason I asked, if it like RDBMS like SQL Server or others, better to have this done in the backend rather than doing it from Power BI.
