Sankey Diagram Bar Meaning

Hi!

I'm trying to understand the structure of the Sankey Custom Visualization. I don't get the values appearing when you try to hover the bars. What do those values mean? Can someone explain it to me? Sankey 2.JPGSankey.png

(For example, where does that Count of Id: 2 came from given my data?)

I also included a pbix sample: Sankey Sample

Thank you!

Hi @Anonymous

The Sankey just plots pathways From/To

In your dataset, you have 2 rows that begin with a "C" hence the 2.  If you hover over the bar just below that you should see a 3 as there are 3 rows that start (the x col) with a B.

Did you know you can drag the bars around?

@Phil_Seamark

Hi Phil!

But when I hover to the B below, Count of Id is 2, and for A, Count of Id is 1. This is the confusing part.

Anyway, I did not know that! Dragging the bars makes it look a lot better! Smiley Very Happy

Are you hovering over the bar or the grey stream coming from the bar?

The bar itself.

Hi girinpanda,

Count of id means how many rows meet the id. Id means a pair(X, Y) in the same row. For example, (A, A) is a pair, there are three rows have (A, A), so Count of id in (A, A) is three.

Hi Jimmy,

I don't get why the value of count of id in the chart when hovered in A (bar) is1, then 2 for B and C?

*I'm talking about the blue and green bars
