SHARING POWER BI REPORT CONNECTED TO SHAREPOINT FILES

Hello, I created a power bi report that is connected to some files in a sharepoint site. I want to share that report with another person in my organization so that he can upload the report to power bi service (since he is the only one that has that permission). I would like to know if that will be possible by sharing the sharepoint site with that person, or if he is going to have some trouble accesing the data in the sharepoint site.

Thanks for your help.

Hi @Anonymous

2 things to do, share the sharepoint site with him and give him access permission to the workspace where the dataset of the report is located.

Thanks a lot! When you say "Workplace", are you talking about the workplace in power bi service where I want to upload the report? Because as I said, I have not uploaded the report to power bi service since I do not have the pro licence. That is why I want to share the report with the person that has the pro licence in my organization without loosing the sharepoint sincronization that I already established in my report.

It's the workspace in power bi service, not workplace. Since you don't have pro license then you have to share the Pbix file in order for him to publish the report to the service. The report itself is not enough.
