Hi!
I am implementing RLS on my data set, and have a (hopefully) simple question.
I have one role, one table, and one table filter expression
Role = Auth required
Table = Invoices
Expression = OR([Sales Position]=USERNAME(), [Management Chain]=USERNAME())
The "Sales Position" field contains one e-mail address for the sales person (example: bob@aol.com). RLS works fine here when I view the data as Bob.
The "Management Chain" field contains multiple e-mail addresses based on an organizational structure and is stored in the following format (example: carol@aol.com; joe@aol.com; david@aol.com). RLS does not work here if I try to view as any one of those users.
I believe it has to do with the formatting of using several e-mail addresses split by a semi-colon.
Is there a way to make this work with the multiple e-mail addresses in one field? I tried chaing the semi-colon to a comma, but that didn't work either.
I could always delimit the values into multiple columns (chain 1, chain 2, etc.) and get it work that way, but was hoping there is a simple formatting solution that will work.
Regards,
Bryson

Hey @Brysonds,
I would recommend using the SEARCH column to see if USERNAME() is contained within the Management Chain field.

Hi @Brysonds,
I also agree with Parker_Stevens.
