I am testing if POWER BI could be used in stead of Tableau.
However when I am trying to publish even quite simple reports I am being met with a text that the report exceeds the max size of 1024 mb..
Since I doubt I am the only person with this issue, is there any one who kows of possible solutions to the problem?
Thank you for any help or answers

Hi @Autobutler,
With Power BI Desktop, when you connect to your data source, it is always possible to import a copy of the data into the Power BI Desktop. And there is 1 GB dataset limitation for this mode(Import Mode).
For some data sources, an alternative approach is available: connect directly to the data source using DirectQuery. And The 1 GB dataset limitation does not apply to DirectQuery mode.
For more details about using DirectQuery in Power BI Desktop, you can refer to this article.

Hi @v-ljerr-msft,
I'm using DirectQuery, but this does not change that my report is too big to publish as a report, as I have created a few large tables from my data source. Any suggestions on how to get my report online into a dash?
