Report On User Activity Throughout The Day

I'm looking for guidance on how you would display a report that tracks activities throughout the day. 

My inputs are as follows:
Date time stamp
Activity 
User

Would you create a date time table, then link to and chart the output, or would you go about it differently?

My suggestion is to have a Date Table and link that to your main table then start creating your report.

The date table is a MUST for using time intelligence functions:
