Hi there,
I have a table of records. When I click on a record it then populates a matrix table as in figure B with a number of date fields populated. I need to dynamically change this matrix table to exclude fields where there is no data according to the record selected in figure A.
For example clicking on record 1 in the primary table in figure A, the results displayed in the matrix table (figure B) should include the feedback date field as there is underlying data for this field associated with this record. However when clicking on record 2, the results should then exclude the feedback date as no data for this record. However it still shows. The client wants it to disappear entirely rather than just show a blank.
I have spent quite a lot of time googling and it appears this might not be currently possible in power-bi. Any thoughts or recommendations would be most welcome 😊
I have a sample workbook but there's no option to attach...
Thanks
E
Hi @obothewizard ,
i see no attachements but maybe this points you in the right direction:
When you've selected the visual (matrix in your case) go to the filter pane.
there is an option to filter out all blank values. In other words; select all values and deselect "blank" or "null"
Hi there,
Thanks for your response.
Unfortunately I can't do that, and nor does deselecting 'show data with no values' work either. I have a workbook that demonstrates the problem but it looks like there is no way to share without a dropbox/one drive upload link being supplied by a responder. So stupid!
