Refresh a dataset that contains an excel AND live data?

Hi. I've got a report that has a live connection to our business data and also has an excel connection to a lookup table that I built.

When I try to enable Auto-Refresh on this data, it fails, saying:

Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials.

I think this is because of the excel file. But I don't need to refresh the excel... I just need to refresh the live company data.

Hi @jasonwq ,

Do you need excel data in report ? if not remove excel data from report and publish again.

If you need,you should change the Excel source from local to Onedrive.

For cloud sources we don’t need gateway.

Step 1 - Open Power BI desktop
Step 2 - Change excel path to Onedrive.
Step 3 - Republish the Power BI file to service.

For more details, please see:Schedule-refresh-is-unable

Hope it helps,

@jasonwq

If you go into Edit Query you can right click on the excel query and turn off "Include in report refresh".  See if that fixes it.
