Publishing Error Message

Hi everyone,

Complete newbie to POwerBI, but getting through things!

I have had zero issues until I got this error message today. I did serach for answers but with no luck! I have the dashboard in My Workspace, but I also need to publish to another workspace.

Any ideas?

(also do I need to keep the report for the dashboard in a workspace or can I delete it without any issues?)

Hi  @AnneConway1 ,

You can copy a report from My workspace to other workspaces.

Copy reports from other apps or workspaces - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Prerequisites

And if you only delete the report in My workspace not the dataset, the copied report in other workspace won't be deleted.

Currently, you can't move a dashboard from a workspace to other workspaces.

We recommend that you copy the reports to a different workspace before creating the dashboard.

Best Regards,

Stephen Tao

Hey @v-stephen-msft this really helped! I found my error! I assumed when I was publishing I was publishing a dashboard, not a report! I figured it out that I have to pin the report to a dashboard to actually have a dashboard! Thank you so much, defnitley helped see thae error of my ways.
