Problem with finding latest date per customer in DAX

Hi everyone

I'm trying to find the latest date per customer using DAX but I'm hitting a problem. The example below shows the fields ContactID, Position, DateAdded, LatestDate

jonclay_0-1680181054386.png

I'm using the following DAX fomula, and in this case I'd expect the final column to show 07/02/2023 (i.e. the latest DateAdded for the particular ContactID).

Max_Date = Var _Name = MAX(TableName[ContactID])
Return
Maxx(FILTER(ALL(TableName),TableName[ContactID] = _Name),TableName[DateAdded])

Could anyone please tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to resolve this issue?

Many thanks
Jon

I don't think we're getting the full information here. e.g. why is there a LatestDate and  a Max_Date?

Can you put a small sample pbix together and post a link here please?
