PowerApps integration with PowerBI

Hi,

I have a PowerApps app which uses CDS Custom entities. however, when i try to expose the data from the App into PowerBI dashboards, this is unfortunately not possible to do.

tried the following:

1) Using the Desktop version of PowerBI and accessing CDS, this only exposes the standard entities (Perspectives).

2) Created a LogicApp which will trigger the creation of any new record in CDS inside a "Real Time" dataset inside PowerBI service, but this has lots of limitations, like: inability of creating measures and calculated columns in addition to the inability of updating existing records in PowerBI when they are modified in PowerApps since there is no trigger for update (Only insert is available) in LogicApps, so i end up with duplicated records inside PowerBI

Any ideas?

Hi, thanks for reaching out to us.

The PowerApps integration with Power BI features are still in "preview" as we learn more about customer usage patterns.  If you're interested in creating Power BI reports that reference custom CDS entities, simply send mail to CDSPowerBIPreview@service.microsoft.com to join the preview program.  Once a member, you'll have access to the new Perspective Designer in the PowerApps portal which will allow you to create models for Power BI reports referencing custom entities.  Send mail today to get started.

The referenced email address is no longer valid. Is there another way to submit this request?
