I installed the Power BI Desktop (September 2021) (x64) optimized for Report Server version 2.97.2222.0 on a Windows Server 2016 Standard.
I cannot refresh the report or develop in power query because even the simplest query get stuck on loading data to model.
I have the same Power BI Desktop RS version in my computer (Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise) that works without problem.
I tryed to install on the Windows Server 2016 an old version of PBI Desktop RS (2.86.1321.0 October 2020) that works !
But our Power BI Report Server was upgraded to september 2021 version 15.0.1107.146.
Then I guess we will need to go back to October 2020 PBI Desktop version in case we want to work in a Windows Server 2016.
Why PBI Desktop (September 2021) (x64) version 2.97.2222.0 doesn't work in a Windows Server 2016? but has no problem in a PC with Windows 10 ?
Thanks.

Hi, @senbey
It's hard to tell if this is a compatibility issue or a setup issue when the program was installed.
