Opening external web site through custom visual image

I have created custom visual with image and allowed to bind column, which has url to external web site. So that when user clicks on a image, it will open external web page. It works fine in power BI web, but not in desktop. Anyone has an idea why?

@thusharam which custom visual are you using ? sorry i don't remember on top of my head.

I got the copy of the https://github.com/Microsoft/PowerBI-visuals/blob/master/src/Clients/Visuals/visuals/imageVisual.ts and and just customized it as link image.

It works fine in Dev Tool Preview pane? Or Power BI Service?

Have you exported this custom visual into .pbviz and import it into Power BI Desktop?
