Hello all, I'm having issues formatting my tables or creating a new table to show the differences/missing values. Very new to Power BI so I don't know exactly how I should word what I'm looking for but I think I can show you. I'm trying to create a report that shows which employee is missing a quiz. I have two tables, one with our employee list and one that has quiz results but doesn't show when employees haven't completed a quiz. I put an example below.
Results Table Data
Test Name | Due Date | Completion Date | Last Name | First Name | Score | SSN |
ERP Plan | 7/16/2023 | 7/16/2023 | Smith | John | 100 | 1001 |
ERP Plan | 7/16/2023 | 7/15/2023 | Doe | Jane | 100 | 1002 |
DIS Policy | 7/5/2023 | 7/5/2023 | Doe | Jane | 100 | 1002 |
Employee Table Data
EMP ID | Last Name | First Name | Dept# | SSN |
101 | Smith | John | 1 | 1001 |
102 | Doe | Jane | 2 | 1002 |
103 | Davis | Joe | 2 | 1003 |
What I would like the end result to look like is something like this:
Results Report
EMP | ERP Plan 7/16/2023 | DIS Policy 7/5/2023 | HAZMAT 6/28/2023 |
Doe, Jane | 7/15/2023 | 7/5/2023 | X |
Smith, John | 7/16/2023 | X | X |
Davis, Joe | X | X | X |
I haven't been to able to search for exactly what I need since I don't exactly know what I need. Do I need to format my data differently or is there a way I can transform/merge/create a new data table to display what I want?
Hi @tom78cje ,
Sorry, to my knowledge, can't get the results you need based on your example data, you need to process the data first.
