Hello
I'm using the Dynamics 365 Business Central Connect and using the Web Services to download General Ledger data.
We only started using Dynamics 365 Business Central Last year and already the Power BI report is a monster.
It takes hours to process the data when making a small change, on a very powerful server.
Is there a way to filter the data, before it gets in to Power BI? If so where can I find documentation?
Should I be using a different connection?
Regards

Hi @GrahamR99 ,
How did you connect to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central? Did you connect to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central content packs in Power BI Service? If you want to do a filter on the data, maybe you can try to create your own report using dynamic 365 as a data source in Power BI Desktop . Connect and then go to the loaded table and do a filter on the data inside. You can refer to the documentation below.

Hello @v-yiruan-msft
Do you have any documentation on how to connect Power BI premium to Microsoft Business Central.
I now have a user account with premium enabled, but can not find the business central connector, I have google but it all it tells me is how to do it in Power BI desktop.
Do I need to download an app to do a connector to business central?
Hello @v-yiruan-msft
The documentation you have given me details how I have connected to the Business Central data. That works fine.
The problem I have is there is so much data it's taking hours to process, how do I cut that processing time to minutes instead of hours??

@GrahamR99 , if the data is in on import mode, we usually kept limited for dev . and use deployment pipeline to populate more data. This can be done using power query parameters. But this premium feature

Hello @amitchandak
How will a filter help me process the data quicker? Has it not got to go through the whole of the data before it can filter out what is not needed?
I have set a filter, but it is still taking ages to process.
