MTD calculation

Hi

I am having an invoice table and date table. I am calculating YTD total invoice. My invoice table has data from 2018 to date.

I connected the date and invoice table using the date column

I calculated the MTD with the below formula

MTD = TOTALMTD([Total Invoice], 'Date'[Date])

When I created a table (Monthname comes from Date table), I am getting below output
jason2000_4-1626315869382.png

It is not calculating the cumulative, for example, from Feb to Dec the values are the same for both invoice total and MTD. Should not be cumulative?

Can someone advise please?

Hi,

WHy do you need the MTD measure?  Isn't the first measure already your answer?
