MSI Katana GF66 12UD with 32gb RAM

Hello All,

Currently I'm looking for a suitable laptop with enough horsepower to run the BI desktop 8 hours a day and also capable for a little bit of gaming from time to time.

What do you think about the MSI Katana GF66 12UD with an upgrade on its RAM (I'm thinking about 32-64GB)

I can buy that notebook for around 1400USD plus the RAM, so this would be my price range if you have a better option.

This laptop has an intel i7-12700 cpu with nvidia gpu, so it should get the work done.

Currently I have a Lenovo thinkpad T470S which is OK, but sometimes it's just not enough with it's intel i5 and 24gb of ram.

Thanks for your feedback on the topic!

No.  This one is better and minimum you need 64 GB RAM (128GB better if you are going to do some really crazy stuff like humongous datasets).  AMD processor architecture is better than Intel's for everything work related (esp the CPU-RAM I/O):

WOW, this laptop is really nice! However where I'm from, it costs around 5.500 USD. Funny how prices change by country.

But thank you for the tip with the cpu, I'll try this msi and id it fails thrn I'll just send it back. We have a 14 days return policy for everything ordered online, so I can test it out.

I think I found even better--OriginPC is a brand name from Corsair, so all parts used to build their custom PCs are quality parts:
