I am trying to plot a line chart for an account over the previous 12 months or any number of months I need.
This is the base data:
This is what the line chart shows:
I am not able to get the 12 month or 3 month trend. The data is formated as Decimal Number for all columns except the first one which is Text.
I am guessing it is a problem with the formatting of the data. I could use some help in getting this right.

@cjnad3 The date headers need to be row value pairs with the values. You can go into "edit queries" highlight the columns of dates and under "Transform" click "Unpivot columns". This will throw your dates in a single column and it's just a matter of putting those two columns in the line chart and it will work as expected.
For the way i look it, you need to reshape the data, leave all dates in a column and all values in another column.

Thanks! That worked. Is there a way to change the label from 1/1/2017 to Jan-17 without manually typing it out?
In the Edit Queries you can do that transformation
